THE TRIBES OF AWAKENING THROUGH RELATING MOVEMENT (PREVIOUSLY ´CONSCIOUS TRIBES´)
"REINVENTING THE EXTENDED FAMILY"

Tribes of Awakening Through Relating are groups of 10, 20, 30 adults and children -
united on a shared life path,
united emotionally, intimately,
and united creatively - in their action - in the co-creation of  conscious cultures.

"Many of us share the vision of decentralised, conscious, community-based cultures, embedded in nature.
But how to make it real?
Or another way to put this question might be "how do we weave ourselves together?
How do we weave new social fabrics?"
 
The Tribes of Awakening Through Relating proposal is to form small tribes aligned with the cultures we wish to co-create.
And not just aligned at the practical, physical level of permaculture, eco-construction, local food production, alternative economics, and so on. Above all, I believe we need to study the subtle yet simple art of  becoming ´non-biological extended families´,
and learn how to see each other and be-seen by each other  - and travel through The Great Mystery in deep intimacy with each other,
while we´re in the process of co-creating our new cultures.
Why?

Because travelling in this way, our hearts stay strong and open.
And that´s the vision we share: the vision of  strong and open-hearted cultures.
And because travelling in this way, we all become more authentically ourselves.
And because travelling in this way, we come to know our oneness.
And because whatever cultures we now co-create will be Made of Us."

Unless we include the social sphere of extended-families / clans / tribes in our Revolution of The Heart –
then even if we become fully emotionally-educated individuals
moving about freely within an excellently-structured, fully-decentralized civilization –
because of our lack of long-term commitment to each other, and to each other´s children, and each other´s parents,
and the place we have known together, and cared for together –
we will be like strangers on a train –
each of us travelling independently, autonomously - in “the right” direction, no doubt –
but disassociated from the landscapes we are speeding through,
and totally lacking the textures of intimacy and connection that grow between us, of their own accord, over time, when we share our lives:
our pregnancies and births, festivities and celebrations, pain and illness, projects, creativities and achievements,
struggles and conflicts and breakthroughs and joys, and ageing and death...
